Médecins Sans Frontières provides medical relief to victims of disasters, wars and epidemics. An indispensible organization in our global society.

The help offered to major disasters like the tsunami in 2004 (Southeast Asia) and now in the 2011 earthquake in Japan with all its consequences, is world news.

But Médecins Sans Frontières does more. For example, in the eastern state of India, Manipur, they provide basic health care and treat people with sexually transmitted diseases including HIV / AIDS.  Nicole Slootweg is doing her bit for this project. She is supporting the medical staff for a whole year and taking care of the logistics and financial parts which are involved in a project like this.
